Colchester Environment Centre is a one-stop shop for all matters related to the environment. As the base for local environmental organisation En-form, the Centre provides up to date local information and advice for members of the public, schools and local businesses on all environmental matters. We are situated in a listed building close to the centre of town.

The other major aspect of our work is focussed on developing community projects. We have established the Colchester and Wivenhoe farmers markets which happen on the first Friday of the month and the third Saturday respectively. We also operate a paint recycling scheme called Colchester and Tendring RePaint and the Give or Take website which encourages people to re-use items that they might otherwise throw away.

In addition we offer a comprehensive educational service to schools and other community groups consisting of talks and demonstrations of many aspects of sustainable living. We also operate local eco-teams that enable local residents to take action for themselves. Our office is open Wednesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm and can be hired for talks and workshops.
