Wandlebury Education Centre
Wandlebury Education Centre is situated in the gentle chalk Gog Magog hills just south of Cambridge. Owned and managed by the Cambridge Preservation Society, the Centre is part of the Wandlebury Country Park and Nature Reserve.
The surrounding landscape is made up of parkland, woodland, ponds and stunning chalk grassland, which is open for public access from dawn until dusk every day of the year. The area also has a fascinating history and boasts an Iron Age hill fort, evidence of Roman occupation and further occupation from the Middle Ages onwards. Converted from the old stable block, the Centre is a hub for a range of facilities and activities including a Nature Trail, Habitat Studies, Seasonal Studies, Orienteering and Arts Activities. We encourage recycling and composting of waste and continually look to promote the principles of sustainability. While the Centre caters mainly for local schools, it can be made available to other groups and organisations on request, and can comfortably accommodate up to 40 adults. For more information...
