The Assist Trust Allotment Project
Energy Efficiency Measures Wind Turbine Water Saving Measures - rainwater collection Composting Low Impact Structures - cabins + sheds Wildlife Conservation Habitat Conservation/Creation
The Assist Trust Allotment Project is based at Heath Gardens, just off the Sprowston Rd. in Norwich. The project enables people with learning difficulties together with carers, volunteers and other people in the local community to produce naturally grown seasonal fruit and vegetables, herbs, bedding plants, shrubs and trees.

The 2.5 acre site includes extensive cultivated beds, an orchard and a diverse wildlife area containing a wildflower meadow, a pond and trees. There is a classroom, kitchen and office space for people to have refreshments and learn some of the technical aspects of gardening. We have recently erected a wind turbine to power our "Activity Shed".

We are very keen on promoting a community atmosphere within which people can develop a wide range of lifeskills such as gardening, cooking, art and having fun!
